I always had it in my mind that some day, I will need a bigger workshop. And there it is now that I have began working on it. It seems easy, submitting the plans to the town, making calls to all contractors and scheduling who comes first and who'll be the last.

Then, that is when trouble started. First comes Mr. Mason, he seems like he is the most hardworking guy I have seen, he did a great job! Next comes Mr. Builder. I found out that Mr. Mason did more work by putting two blocks high on my slab. Oh well I figured, it's not going to hurt as I have already paid and appreciated all the masonry work. No bumps, thumbs up was my word of appreciation to Mr. Mason. Mr. Builder seems like the best builder around, besides, he is the only builder I know, and who can actually build with a hammer, really amazing and great craftsmanship. As much as he did not like what the mason did, he built me a very nice frame and roof for my shop. I can't stop smiling because things are going smooth. Until that day came Mr. Town Inspector stop by for a visit. He said "You're in trouble, I can give you a fine for violation right now". So I say "WHAT? BE NICE. WHY?". So he said my building went 16 inches higher than what I submitted on my plan and permit. My goodness, what is he talking about said I to Mr. Builder, "That's not my fault" said he. And of course, it rewinds back to Mr. Mason's fault who added more blocks than suppose to. I don't think it is anyone's fault, even if it is because all their mistakes became my gain. I end up having a taller shop and a termite free slab. Not sure where this idea came from but there is benefit to it.

Well, well, I could care less whose fault it is, I just do not want to pay any fine. Penalty is not part of my budget anyhow.

The story does not end here, Mr. Electric with big muscles came and did his part of the work today. As I checked the receptacles, it was placed exactly where the Town Inspector told me not to put, right on top of the heater. I am taking a break for now and hope everything turns out fine.

My Precious Files and the Golden Rule

What would you do if your computer crash? I had that horrible experience on May 16, 2007. First thing that came to mind is the load of files I have saved in my hard drive, this includes my entire business. Fortunately, two months ago, I had thought that it was about time I practice weekly backing up all my files into a portable hard disk. Being that I have uninstalled my security software because it was slowing down my computer, I happen to make a wrong click somewhere along the way and my computer CRASHED. Thanks to the portable hard disk inventor. It saved me a lot of trouble and I was able to run my business swiftly just like nothing happened.

As for my new piggy banks project, they are growing in numbers and I am now working on expanding my space, a domino effect. Have you seen a polka dot giant pig? I have set these emails aside so that I can reply to each and one of them whenever my supply capabilities increased. However, due to the nature of customized piggy bank making, it becomes difficult to mass produce them in advance to cater for drop shipment accounts since my piggy banks are made instantly upon order is received and it usually takes about 3 to 7 days for completion. "Thanks to the people who made these request, I am working towards a plan for 2008." The biggest piece I am working on is the life-size owl, still not sure how I will paint it, I might have to do airbrush to make it look nice.
